6 WEEK COURSE : Yoga For Beginners

Ever wondered whether your dog is downward facing? Or what on earth Tree Pose is? The Y4A Beginners course is the perfect introduction to yoga! This 6 week course is a step-by-step taster of the fundamentals of yoga - you will learn the names and shapes of the poses (asana) as well as modifications to suit your individual needs. The course aims to increase your flexibility, strength and range of motion, to chill the mind out and to get you started on your yoga journey safely and confidently.

The course will build slowly, week by week, so consistent attendance is important. The first couple of weeks will be more static classes, allowing a gradual introduction to foundation poses and time for discussion and exploration. Each week we will build on the previous week – adding new poses, introducing variations and combining elements such as breath, focus and movement.

Make sure you wear comfortable clothes that you can move in (think gym gear), everything else will be there for you. Above all else, bring your sense of humour and a playful curiosity!

 

About Erica:

Erica began teaching in 2010 and trained with Samadhi Yoga (now Jivamukti Yoga, Sydney) and Mick Barnes at The Yoga Factory, Sydney. She is passionate about people realising how awesome they are, yoga, music and laughing. Her teaching style is energetic, easygoing and down to earth.
