6 Weeks to Mindfulness: a short course for busy people Start your week off mindfully! Improve your mood, focus your attention, relieve unnecessary stress and befriend your body before meeting the myriad of tasks on your to-do list. In our busy world, it's easy to get lost in 'doing' mode and miss out on the precious moments of our lives. Research shows that, when our minds are aimlessly wandering all over the place, we are less happy and become more susceptible to anxiety, stress, depression and reactivity. Luckily, there is a way of paying attention which brings us fully into the here and now and helps to bring calm, ease and balance to our wandering minds. Mindfulness is the art of paying attention, non-judgementally, to whatever is happening in the present moment. In this 6 week course you will discover the age-old practices of moving, walking, sitting and lying down meditation and learn how to apply mindfulness to the busyness of modern living. Not to mention experience physical, mental and emotional benefits* and witness the amazing ways that mindful living can transform your brain and your life. No experience necessary. ALL LEVELS OF FITNESS & FLEXIBILITY WELCOME. Mondays from 9.30 - 10.30am @ Yoga For All Bolton St Feb 15th, 22nd, 29th Mar 7th, 14th, 21st Investment: $110 for 6 weeks, or $20 per session (drop-in). *Mindfulness practice has been demonstrated in clinical studies to improve immune functioning & increase grey matter in the brain in areas associated with concentration & empathy. It has also been associated with managing symptoms of stress, pain, anxiety and depression and can lead to increased memory, focus and resilience in tackling life's challenges
